The total number of patients examined was 7404. Of these 6456 were old patients returning for additional medication, while the balance 948 were first time visitors. We are proud to be serving the old, underprivileged and disadvantaged and being a part of the rural and community development of Punjab.
It was noticed that a lot of individuals were suffering from high BP, The aliment is widely prevalent in the community though more in the urban population than rural but the effects are fairly visible in both. Any person, man or woman with constantly high levels of B.P. 140 or more mm HG (systolic) and 90 or more mm HG (Diastolic) - 3 readings recorded at different interval of the day is leveled as suffering from high B.P. It is also called the silent killer as despite high B.P. the person does not have any symptom or simply develops headaches. Such patients have been identified by Umeed doctors and put on appropriate treatment. Now they are leading a better life with medical help and life style modification is another step to control high B.P.
